James Likoudis devoted his life to a single conviction: that the schism between Rome and Constantinople is a wound in the Body of Christ that can and must be healed, as Christ himself prayed at the Last Supper, and that Catholics, as members of the one Church of Christ, bear a particular responsibility to pursue that healing. This foundation carries that conviction forward through scholarship, publication, and the formation of people who share it.
We run on donations. No endowment, no university backing. What we have is a body of work worth preserving and a program worth funding: archival translations, a peer-reviewed journal, a fellows program, a book club, conferences, and courses and materials for parishes and dioceses. None of it happens without people who take it seriously.
If you've read James Likoudis, you already know why this matters. If you haven't, his books are a good place to start.

All recurring donations are safely handled via Stripe.
Concrete gifts for donors who want to fund a particular piece of the work. Each gift goes directly to the named project.
Send one copy of Ending the Byzantine Greek Schism (3rd ed.) to a Catholic or Orthodox seminary library. Covers book, shipping, and the letter of introduction that accompanies it.
Fund the translation and editorial review of one Greek or Latin patristic essay for publication in the Kydones Review or the Likoudis translation series.
Underwrite the production cost of one issue of the Kydones Review — editing, design, and distribution. Named in the issue's front matter if you wish.
Sponsor one session of the Orientale Lumen Conference. Session is named in honor of the donor or a person of their choosing, with recognition in the program and from the lectern.
Each specific gift is acknowledged individually. Contact us to arrange your gift or to discuss another project close to your heart.
A full conference ticket covers venue, catering, speaker hotel rooms, and travel — typically $250 per seat. For every scholar, seminarian, or parish priest we ask to pay that price, there are a dozen more we would like to invite but cannot.
Corporate and institutional partners make the difference. A single underwriting commitment can reduce ticket prices, open the room to students at no cost, and keep the Orientale Lumen Conference accessible to the people it is meant to serve. In exchange, partners who wish it receive recognition at the conference, in print, and online.
Name or logo listed in the conference program. Underwrites two subsidized seats.
Logo in program and on conference website. Two complimentary seats. Underwrites four subsidized seats.
Named session with logo placement. Four complimentary seats. Recognition from the lectern. Twelve subsidized seats.
Name alongside the Foundation on conference materials. Prominent signage. Six complimentary seats. Speaker dinner invitation. Terms individually discussed.
Every underwriting dollar goes first to reducing ticket prices. Branding and recognition are offered but never required — partners who wish to remain anonymous are welcome to do so.

Endowing the James Likoudis Professorial Chair at a Catholic university
A fellowship of benefactors whose gifts carry the Foundation's work across generations. Members shape the institutions that outlast us — the endowed chair, the translated library, the conference that returns each year, the review that builds toward the thousandth anniversary of the Schism in 2054.
Gifts of $5,000 or more support the Foundation's long-horizon projects: endowing the James Likoudis Professorial Chair at a Catholic university, building the Kydones Review into a journal of record, and sustaining the translation program. Major gifts are acknowledged individually and, where appropriate, named in perpetuity.
